The assignment


Select an individual from the list below and do some research on his or her career in the sports world. Describe the person’s accomplishments and tell why his or her exploits are noteworthy, even “legendary.” Quite probably, many of the names on the list do not strike a familiar note; all but a few are long-retired and even those few not retired are not engaged in the day-to-day grind of sports. However, each has in some way has had a lasting impact on the wide world of sports. A good starting point would be to Google several of the individuals and decide which one you want to focus on for your paper.
